Rockne Cole

Rockne Cole practices law in Iowa City, specializing primarily in criminal law, immigration and civil rights. He holds a BA in Economics from Luther College and a JD with honors from the University of Iowa College of Law. Originally from Decorah, Iowa, Mr. Cole has had an interest in Latin American culture since his first Spanish class in the 9th Grade, and subsequent unsuccessful efforts to learn the salsa. Through study abroad, and his experiences in Latin American Concerns at Luther College, Mr. Cole developed a strong interest in Latin American history, politics, language and culture. This interest led him to a law practice that has included a large number of clients from throughout Latin America, including Columbia, Venezuela, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Dominican Republic and Mexico. Mr. Cole is a passionate advocate for clients from various Latin American countries, and a frequent speaker on issues affecting recent immigrants.
