Rob Padgette

Rob Padgette has nearly 15 years of experience in transportation planning and policy. He began his transportation career with the Chicago Area Transportation Study (the Chicago region’s MPO) with a position on the long-range planning staff; followed by the Chicago Regional Transportation Authority, the financing and oversight agency for the Chicago region’s three transit agencies. Mr. Padgette spent the next eight years in transportation consulting, supporting primarily state and local transportation agencies with an emphasis on multi-modal transportation planning and policy. His clients have included the City of Chicago, the Maryland DOT, the District of Columbia DOT, the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation, and the Nebraska Department of Roads. In 2007, he joined the American Public Transportation Association as the Director of Policy Development and Research. Mr. Padgette holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
