Bio

Patricia (Pat) Hu is the Center Director for the Center for Transportation Analysis at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. For the past two decades, Ms. Hu has done extensive research, and has led many projects in the area of transportation statistics and analysis for the U.S. Departments of Energy, Transportation, and the Transportation Security Administration. Ms. Hu’s expertise in transportation is demonstrated by her appointments to numerous prestigious posts such as: Chair of TRB Committee on National Transportation Data Requirements and Programs; Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) II Reliability Technical Coordinating Committee; National Academy’s Committee on Planning for Catastrophe: A Blueprint for Improving Geospatial Data, Tools, and Infrastructure; and NCHRP Project Panel on Commuting in America LII. Ms. Hu has also been the recipient of numerous awards including the 1984 Pyke Johnson Award from TRB for the outstanding paper in the field of transportation planning and administration.
