Bio

Arlee Reno is a Senior Vice President of Cambridge Systematics with 40 years of experience in transportation economic analysis, finance, operations, and planning. He has prepared estimates of national investment needs for highways and public transportation. He managed comprehensive evaluations of transit investments for New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia. He assisted NCHRP, FHWA, and many states with major studies of revenue alternatives. He has managed or assisted statewide multimodal plans in Oregon, Texas, Nebraska, Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, and New Jersey. He is author of the Characteristics of Urban Transportation Systems (CUTS), and of Personal Mobility in the United States, a chapter in TRB’s Special Report 220, A Look Ahead: Year 2020. Mr. Reno received both a Master’s degree in City Planning and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Cambridge Systematics, he served as Director of the Transportation Program at The Urban Institute.
