National Advanced Driving Simulator Renamed in 2023

UI's National Advanced Driving Simulator is being renamed the Driving Safety Research Institute to better reflect the work the unit does. The new name will showcase how the department and its research has evolved since its formation in the 1990s.
Dan McGehee, institute director and director of the PPC Transportation and Vehicle Safety Policy Research Program, was featured in an article by the Ottumwa Courier explaining the Institute's multifaceted work and what's to come in the future.
