Kevin Leicht is Director of the Institute for Inequality Studies (IIS), which promotes research on the causes and consequences of the myriad forms of social inequality. He also directs the Social Science Research Center (SSRC), an interdisciplinary institution dedicated to furthering social science research and practice across the University of Iowa and developing ways to connect that research to the broader community. As a Professor of Sociology, Dr. Leicht’s interests include the sociology of work, social stratification, and political sociology. His current research examines the development of economic development programs by the U.S. states and the causes and consequences of corporate restructuring.
